Pleasantly surprised! Jan 12, 2012
By Jaymie Ok I have severe acne - the type where you don't just get pimples, I get painful lil nodules under the skin (concentrated on and around my forehead) that take forever to reach the surface and like to leave scars (even if you don't pop them!). I have used a number of prescription creams and pills. I've even tried that little zapit machine which did nothing for my severe acne. I did find success with a prescription antibiotic however i stopped taking it after 2 years because I didn't want to be come immune to it. I came across this product and saw the reviews - I figured for $8 bucks it was worth a shot. I ordered on December 8, 2011 and am writing this review on January 12, 2012. I am happy to report that my acne outbreaks (which occur weekly like clockwork!) have greatly subsided! I noticed that my pimples/nodules were less and less frequent within a couple weeks of taking this, yet they still appeared. So I wasn't quite ready to claim success just yet. But now after a month, I've completed my first bump-free week and I feel like I'm ready to go run around naked in the snow! Now to be fair: I do wash my face with an organic tea-tree oil face wash, and I do use tea-tree oil on my face - but I've done that for months prior to the pills and continue to use them to this day (it definitely works to clean the skin)... So needless to say I'm very pleased with this product. For the customer who complained about having to take pills daily - that's just going to be a part of life dude. I'd rather be taking a zinc supplement like this (which zinc is also recommended to treat a cold and boost your immune system)then take an expensive prescription whose list of side-effects contains "THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE" (WTF?!).. You may also need to change some of your habits/behaviors if you're going to truly take your skin-care seriously. Watch out for coffee - cleanse your face at least 2x per day - use sun-screen - use moisturizer (preferably oil-free) - don't touch your face (period! i struggle with this one) - watch your food intake.. the more grease/oil you put in, the more that could potentially come out your face - reduce stress - and don't worry about the acne - look in the mirror and tell yourself "I AM PHOTOGENIC" daily (and believe it) you'll feel much better off....

Very effective. 2nd time buyer Jul 26, 2011
By foodandcomputers I had moderate acne on the cheeks and chin area (testosterone based). In the past, regular 50mg zinc from CVS helped tremendously but it tastes like poison and would upset my stomach if I didn't take it with a FULL meal. This product I 'feel' is much better than the CVS one. It doesn't upset my stomach, doesn't taste like poison and has cleared my acne (in conjunction with other products). It also has other ingredients that prevent acne- I didn't research the other ingredients but I have seen them referred to quite often on the acne.org forums. I take one during lunch and one during dinner. I just finished my first bottle and ordered another one yesterday.
I am taking this in combination with B6, a multivitamin and fish oil. I use proactive as my topical treatment. Modified daily habits are - no diary, avoiding foods high in GI and no heavy lifting workouts. My acne is 99% clear- i'm just working on the few red marks now. I just ordered a Glycolic Acid peel off Amazon to help with the red marks (kind of nervous about acid on my face). I started this routine in April of this year and now I am clear and my face is like =]

actually works Oct 10, 2010
By D. scharrer On my third week of taking and I can't believe it works, I was a medium acne guy and tried a bunch of washes and cream as well as tetracyclene and got no results. I was sceptical at first with this stuff but being 6 dollars I thought is give it a try. Now three weeks in I have one little red spot on my neck from a zit that I had before taking the zinc and nothing else. I am still in shock of how quickly and effectively this works. I totally recommend to any one with acne or razor bumps.

Worked great for me! Dramatic results in 1 week! Oct 30, 2011
By HappyBuyer I wish I would have known that something as simple as ZINC would work as fast as it did for me! I've tried everything; clean and clear, proactiv, nutrogena... you name it! Nothing worked and I was getting more and more discouraged to buy something new thinking it wouldn't help me either. I went on amazon and saw this and thought "hey might as well try it, its under $10, what can it hurt!" So glad i did. Within a week it was like any breakouts i had were shrinking and drying out of my skin. Any scars I had faded slightly too! I first noticed results after only 3 days and i am so happy!!! i had breakouts on my face and shoulders and now i dont have to worry about it :) I'm 23 i shouldnt have to sress over breakouts!!! Give it a try. You will be glad you did.

Miracle Acne Vitamin Mar 01, 2012
By C. Camann I am a 31 year old female who has had acne for the past twenty years. Growing up it was terribly bad and embarrassing, and none of the prescription creams or antibiotics worked for me. In high school I went on Accutane. It completely cleared up my skin, but 3 years later it started to break out again. Ugh. I then tried various facial products, including ProActiv, which worked for a little while. In my 20's my acne became worst and worst, and I started to develop deep cystic zits. I tried to go on Accutane again, but even at the lowest doses it burned the inside of my nose. It hurt so much I had to give it up. Plus I didn't feel that comfortable taking Accutane for a second time. While researching natural cures I stumbled across this vitamin on Amazon. I figured I would give it a shot. Am I glad I did!! This stuff is amazing! After only 2 weeks my acne was almost completely gone!! I couldn't believe! I wish I had known about it years before. When I use this in addition to a dairy free, low sugar diet, the Exposed system skin care, and fish oil supplements I get maximum results. Every other day I apply Alpha Hydroxy Acid cream to my skin to even out skin tone, and it helps with acne too.
The only problem that I have with this vitamin is that it too is hurting the skin inside my nose a little. I believe that it may be working much like Accutane works. I plan to cut my dose in half in 5 months as I don't think taking high doses for a long time is good for you. Make sure you talk to your doctor if you do decide to supplement with this. Good luck!
