Winnie is a winner May 10, 2010

My 89 year old mom had an accident with her previous walker. She reached for it, thinking she had locked the breaks and it rolled away. She fell and broke her hip. After months of recovery she was anxious to get back to a 4 wheeled walker with brakes but I was very nervous about it. The Winnie's brakes are locked automatically unless she holds the handle up, which seems like a much safer way to go. I did a lot of research and this was the only one I could find that worked that way. She loves it! The cons are;it's heavier than most walkers, the seat doesn't lift up and it's a bit trickier to fold.
