I have some minor nerve damage in my hand so I was trying to find a multivitamin that didn't have cyanocobalamin (synthetic B12 - made in a lab) when metabolized leaves behind cyanide, which causes nerve damage. It was almost impossible to find a multivitamin that had methylcobalamin (natural B12 - as in what is found in meat) when metabolized leaves behind methyl which helps in muscle growth. But this guy right here did it, the cool thing about this vitamin too is that it uses all the natural versions of vitamins and supplements which is why it is a little on the pricy side, but well worth it.
All the other stuff in here is great too, it has everything else a normal multivitamin would have and then some herbal stuff too which has been used in Chinese herbal medicine for years or other unique plants that have been found to have health improving properties.
A simple reminder though, just because this is an all natural multivitamin, or for any multivitamin for that matter, it isnt a "cure all - I am happy all the time" pill. The body can repair almost any injury or illness with the right nutrients and time. Taking this, or any multivitamin, is for long term health improvement and sustainment.
Take this, or some other version that Pure Essence has that suites your preferences, they know what is good out there and is willing to give it to you in a small pill. Take advantage of it while you can.

Before you read this review I must tell you that I am not an expert on vitamins and do not know if the amounts of each ingredient in this supplement are the optimum dosage.
I just switched from GNC ultra mega gold without iron a few months ago. One thing I really didn't like about the GNC brand was that you had to take two of them a day and I have been lead to believe that you should space them out so you get an even dosage through out the day. It was so easy to forget to take the second pill. Now that I have switched to this brand it's nice to take one in the morning with or with out food and not worry about taking a second dose.
It seems that they really take care to present there product well. It comes in a nice tinted glass container with plenty of cotton inside to keep the pills from breaking up in shipping.
A word of warning, as with most supplements that cram lots of stuff into one pill. They are kind of big so if you have trouble swallowing pills you may want to see if you can get a smaller bottle to try so you are not stuck with 90 pills you can't use. Also if you are like me and don't really care for veggies they pill does have a heavy green veggie flavor. However I have found that I have gotten used to it and you only taste it for a few seconds while it's in your mouth.
I have experienced no side affects and I plan on purchasing them again as my only supplement.

Great vitamin but it STINKS. May 19, 2011

I love this vitamin, I appreciate that it is only once a day and is made using whole foods, it somehow makes more sense to ingest something that closer resembles natural food. The only caveat that I have is that they STINK and i mean bad, i know that nearly all vitamins have a somewhat unpleasant odor, but this one takes the cake, moreover you get the smell when you put the pill in your mouth. My suggestion would be for the company to simply put a thin veggie based gel coat, problem solved. All that being said it it a great all in one, whole food vitamin at a reasonable price.

I used to buy my Vitamins at a local health food store similar to Whole foods for almost twice the price! While at checkout I questioned the price, because I didn't recall them being so exspensive. The cashier directed me to Pure Essence. She had said that the in house nutritionist recommended this brand due to the price and the fact it has everything you need in a multi plus the most "Super Food" support in a one daily. I was hooked! In my internet travels I found these vitamins way cheaper. I was so amazed that I used to buy the One Daily for my Fiance' and I, but because I found them at such great prices I bought the Mens and Womens instead. So happy!

Whole Foods Inc. tried to charge me $77 for this exact bottle until I looked it up on Amazon for under $30. All is well, product is great but who ever is packing this stuff up to ship just doesn't understand what they're doing. Item was fortunate to make it without breaking.
