5Costco dud. New Sonicare purchased from Amazon.  May 11, 2012

I purchased a Philips Sonicare Toothbrush set from Costco in S.CA in Jan.2010. The one brush is still working, the other malfunctioned and then stopped working completely by Sept / Oct 2010. I recently purchased an identical Sonicare in April 2012 from Amazon. The brush is brand new, and it works 100%. The shipper shipped ahead of scheduled date and I have had no problems whatsoever in this transaction. END.

My original one from costco died. Either the battery ran out OR it looked like there is moisture inside the casing. I was originally going to just replace the battery. Ebay sells them for $26 + shipping. But because of the moisture inside, a new battery may not work out. And it sounds like, i had to unsolder the old battery and solder the new one - sounded like too much work. So i decided to just buy this one for $51 + shipping. Working good so far. My only critique is that the vibration seems to be different (a little slower) than my old one - but it works pretty good. It's a better option that buying a new one for $100+ OR shelling out $170 at costco for two.
