We love these toothbrushes for our kids. In one of our children, it has DRAMATICALLY reduced the amount of tartar build up according to their dentist. They snap on & off easily, are sturdy and secure when on and unlike Oral B brushes, they don't have an odd 'window' in the arm of the brush so that saliva & gunk get in there that start stinking up the brush eventually. I think my only complaint about the brushes is that they are still hard to find locally but thankfully, Amazon has always had them in stock when we needed a replacement and at better than local prices to boot! Gotta love that!
I have since edited my original review. It seems that I purchased a set of replacement toothbrushes that contained 1 of each size when in fact the replacement heads actually are supposed to contain ONE specific size in different colors - one red and one blue. Each replacement box that I have purchased since then contain the correct sizes in each box. To clarify you will receive:
the specific size that you select (either the smaller 4-7 size or 7+ size). You get 2 replacement toothbrushes, one red and one blue in each box.

So first, this brushing system was recommended by my son's dentist. It's a good product. I have no complaints about the system, it helps him brush AND gives him the timer so he knows how long to brush for. Excellent design, he uses it, I like it. And other reviewers are correct, these are not easy items to find at the local store.
But come on...am I the only one that thinks almost $20 for two replacement heads is nuts? I can buy a complete battery powered Oral B unit for almost the same price as 1 replacement head! I can buy 2 of the most advanced manual toothbrush in the pharmacy and have money left over for tons of candy (kidding). My point is, how can 2 replacement heads cost so much?
Make the price more reasonable, please!

We started using Sonicare for Kids with our then-3-year old almost 2 years ago. Although the age range says "4-7," our 2-year old has been using Sonicare for Kids for months and loves it. We purchased a separate toothbrush for him because having to switch different heads each time just wasn't worth it and they love brushing next to each other. They both use their toothbrushes very well on their own, even in the back! It's much more gentle and effective than the spinning brushes marketing for kids...ouch! These replacement heads last for months and aren't as pricey as you'd expect, definitely less than they cost in stores. They even fit the adult toothbrushes. Our dentist is impressed by how clean their teeth are, even though we can't floss them well. Buy this for your kids and they, your dentist, their teeth, and your pocketbook with thank yoou!

My son is 2 and we went to the dentist and they told me I should get this toothbrush to help with his gum line. Before we got this it was a wrestling match every night when it time to brush his teeth. Now I tell it is time to brush his teeth and he runs to the bathroom!!!! I think that this was worth every penny and I am looking into getting a Sonicare for myself:)

I'm very impressed with how much my daughter loves her toothbrush. The best part about it is that she keeps brushing until she hears the music stop. What an awesome concept.
