Product works well... Aug 14, 2010
By BonesighNYC I have arthritis in some of my joints, and recently had knee replacement surgery. My physical therapist introduced me to Biofreeze gel, which I have been using with good results for my pain. I was running low on Biofreeze gel, so decided to give Orthogel a try. Well, I don't really notice any difference in the pain relieving properties of these products. I think that both products work equally well. But I have two comments about Orthogel that I feel I should make. First, Orthogel takes longer to dry after applying, and feels sticky to the touch until completely dry. This is not the case with Biofreeze. Second, one of the two jars of Orthogel that I ordered did not have the jar cap screwed on tightly enough, resulting in a small loss of product prior to delivery. I can not say whether this is the fault of the manufacturer, or the seller. So for these two issues, I take away a rating star.
If you are in need of a good topical analgesic, Orthogel should work for you. But I prefer Biofreeze, so when I finish my two jars of Orthogel, I will go back to Biofreeze.

It actually works Jan 30, 2009
By Gigi I'm a nurse and am very skeptical of many medications---both OTC and prescription. In my experience, if anything works as advertised, it's generally not without undesirable side effects. Not so with Orthogel. I've got very painful arthritis at the base of both thumbs. Naproxen can't relieve the pain that's ever present when I use my hands, but applying Orthogel 3 to 4 times a day is working great---with NO side effects! It's not a cure, but it makes it much easier to deal with the problem. It may not work for everyone, but the difference is quite significant for me. A little old lady told me about it--God love her:) I had previously tried another topical called Triflora Arthritis Gel. It did nothing more than moisturize my hands.

It is a good product with really cool effect on the area it is applied. However, the cost is slightly on the higher end.

By Arlie J. Lavender I have found this product to be the best that I have used for muscle and joint pain and the price is not outrageous on Amazon.
Happy but curious about the packaging Jan 20, 2012
By Kerioki This item came within a week- much faster than expected.
I did get orthogel but it's not exactly like the picture- so I'm not sure if it's the label that's different or if some of the ingredients are different. Mine is white.
