Sold Out to P&G, Stated First Priority Is To Shareholders Mar 23, 2012
By Azimuth I've loyally chosen New Chapter supplements over all other competitors for decades for one simple reason: I trusted them. I believed what they said about the integrity and purity of their company and products, and I believed they were truly in the business of healing the world. Their prices are high but I happily paid it, partly because I deliberately choose not to support companies like Proctor & Gamble. I buy based on quality and integrity, not price alone.
Unfortunately, New Chapter recently sold out to Proctor & Gamble, a mega-corporation whose operations and philosophies stand in complete contrast to everything Paul and Barbie Schulick (the founders of New Chapter) claim in their products represent. However, in a recent statement following the sell-out, the Schulicks said that their company's "primary responsibility is to the economic interests of the shareholders." To me, that's the bottom line. They plainly stated their priorities. Eventually their quality will be diminished in the name of the economic interests of their shareholders. It's not a matter of if, but when. Their value already has diminished since their top shareholders support and profit from GMOs, animal testing, environmental devastation and numerous products with toxic ingredients. Definitely not where I want my money to go.
As for Paul and Barbie's public claims that nothing will change about the quality of their products, P&G itself started as a "mom & pop." Their own example illustrates the future of New Chapter. Words are hollow. Paul said in a youtube video response to widespread public outrage, "If we need to be kept honest, you let us know" -- and then he disabled commenting on all their videos. They've already demonstrated repeatedly that they say one thing and do the opposite. I have loved these products for many years, but I will never purchase them again.
The good news is that supplements really aren't necessary anyway, especially for people already making healthy, truly ethical lifestyle choices. New Chapter is no longer part of that type of lifestyle.

A MULTIVITAMIN THAT AGREES WITH ME Aug 03, 2010
By ANN My siblings and I have not been able to injest any of the multivitamins that are currently on the market that contain calcium or vitamin D3 in any form. It causes our joints to hurt. However, I've been taking New Chapter Woman II for two weeks and it agrees with me. I haven't had any discomfort from the supplement at all. So I've re-ordered this product and also the Bone Care calcium product because I do have osteopenia. I've recommended this product to my siblings, and I'm sure it will work as well for them. Thank you New Chapter.

Awesome Jan 08, 2011
By S. McMurray I feel great taking these New Chapter 40+ vitamins. I take the multivitamins, bone care and the one for inflammation. (sorry I can't remember the name.) Yes it is very expensive but worth it. I ache less and have more energy. I feel younger. And I almost forgot the really big change. My stomach is in great shape. I can even take these on an empty stomach. Big improvement. I have even talked my husband into taking the man version. Everything you read about them is true.

Good Product Mar 14, 2011
By Bella I have been taking this product for about a month now and have been satisfied for most part. Aside from 3 tablets of this product, my doctor also recommended additional Vitamin D3 for 1000 iu a day so combined with 3 tablets of the multi vitamins + my high blood pressure med might be too much for people with weak stomach like me. I have to reduced the dosage from 3 to 2 tablets a day due to an upset stomach and indigestion after 2 weeks.
The benefit from taking this product so far for me is an increase in energy level during the daytime and I can sleep a little better during the night time. If it's not for my upset stomach, I could have been completely satisfied with this product.

Excellent Product! Jan 05, 2012

These are great. I'm over "50" and was looking for a supplement that would not make my stomach hurt or other side effects. Don't always take the recommended daily dosage, but I can tell when I don't take them at all for a couple of days. These make me feel balanced. I will continue to purchase.
