238 down to 174 Jun 17, 2006
By Island Girl 58 My cholesterol was at a high of 238. I tried eating nothing but grilled chicken, brown rice, and veges AND working out 2-3-4 times a week. It dropped down to 205. I heard about Red Yeast Rice through a Consumer Report. I've been taking it for about a year, not eating completely healthy foods, but my cholesterol dropped to a low of 174. I ran out for a couple months and my cholesterol went back up to 220+. I tried another brand and the level barely went down. I'm back on the Nature's Plus Extended Release and my cholesterol levels are on their way back DOWN. I'm a firm believer in this herb as produced by THIS company. Try it. Hopefully it works for you like it works for me. Remember, though, we're all genetically different.

really works quite well Nov 20, 2008

Lowered my cholesterol 60 to 100 pts depending on the measurement, in conjunction with Enduracin brand Niacin, better than either did alone by a lot.
But both need MD monitoring; and this IS a statin by its nature.
Consumer Lab rates this as the highest/purest monacolin content (active lovastatin type ingredient) and found no dangerous citrinin impurity.
Im an MD. I recommend it as long as you work with your own MD

Reducing blood cholesterol Jan 12, 2007
By H. Williams I have taken Nature's Plus red yeast rice for about a year now. Before taking, my blood cholesterol was 252 mg/dL. After 8 months on Nature's Plus, my next test showed a blood cholesterol level of 198 mg/dL. That's impressive! I have not had a followup test to confirm though. Additionally, Nature's Plus is one of the only ones that is taken only once each day. Most other brands recommend one or two tablets twice a day. This timed release approach seems to work best.

Lowered my cholesterol Dec 19, 2010
By Jack Gilliam My cholesterol was 250 a year ago. I started using Red Yeast Rice last year. I also take CQ-10. I do not eat right. I do not exercise. I sit at work. I sit at home. It's in my DNA.
I had blood work done last week and my cholesterol is 190. Everything else was within the normal range also. It has not been below 200 for years. This is my story and I'm sticking to it.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!! Aug 12, 2011

"Abba's Girl"
I took this product for one month and had a lipid blood test done. Prior to that my total cholesterol was 252 with an LDL level of 151 and HDL 93. Now after taking Nature's Plus Red Yeast Rice Extended my levels are as follows: total cholesterol 198 (dropped 54 points!), LDL 87 (dropped 64 points!) and HDL 100 (increased 7 points). My HDL ratio is 2.0 -- amazing results!! I am flabbergasted! I knew this was good stuff and I was hoping it would work for me, but I didn't expect such tremendous results! No statin drugs, no side effects and wonderful levels! This is a great product that I will continue to use and recommend to people who need to lower their cholesterol levels naturally.
