5Truly Burpless  Apr 30, 2011
By C. Singer
I take fish oil because of the benefits to my joints. I have been taking it for 7 months with good results. I chose this brand and variety because it claims to be burpless, and I have found it to be pretty much true. No nasty fishy taste comes back to haunt me later. Nature's Bounty also sells a fish oil that is NOT burpless and comes in an almost identical package. Just read the labels carefully and you will be fine.

5They work!  Nov 14, 2011
By dEadDollY "dD"
I added these to my diet after reading and hearing about the many benefits of fish oil. A relative bought the regular ones and constantly had "fish burps" hours after taking the pills. Not a problem with these -- I'm not a fish eater, so a fishy aftertaste would never do. These go down fairly easy (why they have to made these and vitamins so large, is beyond me) and help me to feel like I'm helping my health. I don't eat as well as I should, so I use a few supplements. This is one that I'll continue.

5Easy to Take Fish Oil  Oct 29, 2011
By Mary M
I have tried many fish oils that have either upset my stomach or have had a terrible after taste. This one has no after taste at all and my stomach tolerates it very well. I'm happy to have found this alternative.

5Fish oil with no fish burps!  May 05, 2012
By HarpswellWoman "HarpswellWoman"
This product is a good value if you are looking for a fish oil supplement. So far in using them for a number of months now, I had one "fish burp" that I can remember. On the advice of a friend, I put these in our bathroom and I take them at night along with Vitamin D. It makes remembering to take them so much easier. I take 3 softgels per night, but I am going to start taking 4 softgels. They seemed to have helped the mild psoriasis on my scalp and I am hoping that they will help lower my cholesterol.
This supplement is according to the label purified to eliminate mercury and claims that it may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Two softgels contain 720 mg of Total Omega-3 Fatty Acids (360 mg per softgel). This is the most important piece of data in the supplement facts and what you should look for when you are comparing fish oil supplements. These softgels contain both EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids, but the ratio of EPA to DHA is not specified. Some studies have shown that EPA and DHA may help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, though the results have not been conclusive as of yet. Some potential benefits of incorporating EPA and DHA into your diet include maintaining healthy triglyceride levels, maintaining healthy circulation and possibly even helping with maintaining a positive mood.

Fish oil capsules contain no ALA Omega-3 Fatty Acids. ALA is only found in plant based foods such as walnuts. These softgels contain anchovies, mackerel and sardines and no shellfish or other allergens or additives.
One thing that you want to look out for - if you look at the photo of this product specifically, you will see a red circle above the fish. It says "no fish burps!" Other similar products from Nature's Bounty do not contain this product description on the label. I have found that these fish oil softgels are tasteless and odorless in the bottle and very easy to swallow even though they are relatively large. These are enteric-coated, so they pass through the stomach and into the small intestine.

5No fish burps :)  Apr 03, 2012
By Elle
Great product for the price! Absolutely none of the dreaded fish burps. Maybe it's a placebo, but I really feel like my knees are more lubricated (I'm a runner).
