I had read about all the benefits of krill oil, and first tried a different brand purchased through Amazon. I found that brand had a rather pronounced unpleasant fishy odor to it. It didn't give me fish burps or any ill effects when taking it, but I was concerned about the off odor of the pills. It smelled like bad fish.
The next time I purchased krill oil from Amazon I purchased the NOW brand of Neptune Krill oil. The price was good, and this time there was NO fishy odor to the pills. Since the NOW brand is also priced well, and has no fishy odor, I will purchase the NOW brand next time too.

This was reccomended to me for arthritis pain. Both my spouse and i noticed a significant improvement in our pain level. Take 500 mg twice a day.

 FAILED LAB TESTING FOR POTENCY AND SPOILAGE! Jun 07, 2011

Just last month, according to a very well known and reputable Lab known for testing Consumer products such as this, NOW Foods Krill Oil FAILED the test. They found that it DID NOT contain the claimed amounts of fish oil per capsule. (About 75% of claim). Not only that, they were found to be SPOILED/RANCID!. (The product tested was brand new and protected from heat and moisture so thats not why) If you bought these recently, it could be that you are taking a RANCID supplement. I cant believe NOW Foods failed this test. Every other joe blow generic company managed to pass this test with flying colors. WHY NOT NOW FOODS? This company was once very trusted by me and I always looked for their products but after seeing these results it really wakes you up. I will be returning my krill oil for another brand. Absolutely unbelievable. I could MAYBE understand the potency issue, but them being RANCID?
Im not sure how much info im allowed to divulge because you gotta pay for the info but I highly recommend you look up third party lab testing for supplements. Its very cheap and you can discover things like this. Dont believe me? I dont work for any other company - go ahead, buy any brand you want - but certainly not this one. I have enough problems - I dont need this nonsense. I'll pay an extra buck or two for a supplement that actually gives you your money's worth (worsened by the fact that its spoiled anyway). Just unacceptable. One failed lab test is too many - im sorry. They should be testing EVERY BATCH themselves.

Krill Oil soft-gels were recommended by my doctor to help with my back pain caused by spinal stenosis. I have taken them for about 6 weeks and I do think they have lessened my pain. I will continue to take them and hope to feel even better! I find that by buying them at Amazon.com I save my money, and they are delivered quickly.

I couldn't take fish oil because it caused my heart to beat irregular, so I had pretty much given up on getting regular doses of Omega fats into my diet. Then I heard about krill oil from doctor Mercola. I tried this Now Foods brand instead of the one Mercola sells on his web site. I have a mild case of fibromyalgia that was caused from cholesterol meds and this caused me to be unable to take cholesterol medicine. Some days I would wake up in so much pain I felt like I had been ran over by a truck. Within a few days of taking krill oil the pain in my shoulders and back disappeared. Now I wake up completely pain free and without depression. I don't know if it has impacted my cholesterol numbers, but my blood pressure has been lower. Excellent product!
