Great value for high quality Oct 09, 2011
By Meg Hayes We have taken fish oil for a number of years and I like Member's Mark as a mail-order option via Amazon. Five years ago, the only way to get this concentration of EPA+DHA (900mg) in one pill was to purchase from G-N-C, which even in 2011 equals about 34 cents per pill (MM cost: 16 cents per pill). Most large retailers sell a comparably sized pill but you need TWO pills to get 900mg of EPA+DHA, doubling the per-dose cost.
Compared to the G-N-C and VitaminShoppe house brands of Omega 3's with equivalent single-pill EPA+DHA, the Member's Mark pills are of equal size and all encapsulated in gelatin to reduce burping. Personally, I think taking the pill(s) at night with a light snack helps, but that's just me.
Label Supplement Facts: PER ONE PILL - 15 calories; 1.5g fat; 5mg cholesterol; 1400mg Omega-3 fatty acids from Mackerel, Sardine, Anchovy Oil EPA - 647mg DHA - 253mg Other ingredients: Gelatin, glycerin USP (kosher), purified water USP, pectin and calcium chloride USP. Contains fish and soy.

good value Mar 20, 2011
By Nicole I bought these at Sam's. They contain 1400mg of fish oil of which 900mg is omega-3 which works out to about 65% which is OK. 647mg EPA and 253mg DHA. The bottle I have says PRODUCT OF CANADA which makes me trust the product a little more. "Fish oil is verified by the US Pharmacopeia. Purity guaranteed by up to 200 quality control checks". The label says no mercury and no lead but does not say if it is filtered for other pollutants. The bottle they came in is see-through so I wonder about light degrading the quality. I think I will keep them in the fridge. I take 3 pills a day for 2.7g omega-3.

Recommended by my healthcare professional Feb 23, 2010

"Heart Healthy Girl"
This was recommended by my healthcare professional due to its' high EPA/DHA content. The pills are large but are coated so they go down pretty easy. I was happy with the fast delivery and the price is very competative.

No fishy after taste - High Potency Feb 28, 2011
By Reviews Help Buyers I am on my third or 4 bottle of these and will continue with this brand. As a person who has high triglycerides and cannot take a statin drug (very adverse effects in my case) my health professional prescribed three of these a day for me (along with diet changes).
I had brought in a few different bottles I already had at home and this brand was selected from them, due to the potency.
I do not get a fishy after taste from these.

Members Mark Fish Oil, 900mg EPA+DHA Jul 25, 2011
By W. Davis Been looking for higher EPA/DHA at a reasonable cost. Just bought this product at SAMs Club for $18.84.
My cardiologist has me on a high dose to reduce triglycerides, treat Lp(a)-a genetic trait and powerful cause of plaque-, raise HDL, and make LDL particle size bigger. My goal is to reverse atherosclerosis. In addition FO has been shown to reduce inflamation, and help prevent blood clots. All that is good and I can now follow his recommendations without wolfing so many capsules.
