5Great for my Plantar Fasciitis  Nov 09, 2008
By L. D. Morris "mistym86"
I happened to find this product locally at a wholesale club where it is listed as a seasonal product. I came on Amazon to see if they carry it so I can replace mine if I should wear it out since I am using it two times a day.

I have seen a physical therapist for my Plantar Fasciitis before, but found I can mimic what they do in the clinic at home. It is a time saver to not have to go in. In physical therapy they have you use heat, massage (to break up scar tissue), stretch and ice. I am now using this product for the first two steps to replace the hot rice bag and hand held massager I had been using, and it works like a dream. If you are using this product for the same purpose, the little round balls smart pretty good when the Plantar Fasciitis is first acting up again, but if you keep at it the smarting will subside. So happy I found this product.

3Foot Massager  Feb 06, 2009
By Steven C. Hager
While this unit does indeed massage your feet and feels good, the design makes it somewhat difficult to get comfortable in doing so. You can't just plop your feet directly on top because the weight of your legs puts a strain on the motor, so you have to rest your heels on the floor and then your massaging only one area. I found myself constantly picking up my feet and moving them around to get a comrotable position and effect.

5Very stimulating! Maybe a little too much:)  Feb 07, 2009
By Big Ron
Many know that the feel of someone's massaging hands on certain areas and pressure points can create a stimulating effect (enough said). Well, I have to fess up and report that this has been a unexpected effect of this amazing massage machine by Homedics. The feel of the rotating balls on my big feet are the next best thing to someone with a trained, strong massage touch. It mimics the feel of strong counter rotating thumbs.

OK, it's no substitute for the feel of a good woman's touch on a man's feet...but it's close:)

ONE CRITICISM - I agree the motor definitely should be stronger. You can hear the motor straining and slowing down a bit. That means you have to concentrate too much on the weight being applied to it more than relaxing and enjoying the massage. The unit should be strong enough to handle the leg/foot weight of average sized and slightly above average-sized people. Not just a 100-pound, 5-foot person with a size 5 foot. This was a popular issue with the 1st generation of this massager a few years ago, yet Homedics chose not to address it. Hopefully the 3rd generation of this product will have a stronger motor.

1Weak!  Apr 05, 2009
By David Kuertz "MS... Find a Cure!!"
I found the motors very weak and it struggles to rotate with even the slightest pressure.

1Weak Motor  Dec 27, 2008
By J. VanDenburgh
I bought this at Target and the motor is not strong enough when your feet are rested on it. The motor slows and strains, and when you put a little bit of weight on it, it stops completely. Don't bother buying, it is a waste of time cause you will just have to take it back. It would be a great product if the motor were a little more powerful. Oh well, back to Target tomorrow.
