Does Okay, Not a Miracle Product Aug 13, 2010

I decided to use this product because my teeth had started to get noticable yellowing. The directions state to use 2x daily for 2-3 weeks. I wanted to get the full benefit, so I used it for the whole three weeks. Unfortunately I was too lazy to take a "before" photo, but when I look at my teeth, to me they're noticably less yellow. Not enough to make anybody else notice, but enough to where I know it's slightly lighter. I don't think they look as yellow, so for that, I'm satisfied.
This is the first time I've used toothpowder and I find that I prefer it to toothpastes, because it doesn't leave an aftertaste or dry out my mouth--I can drink orange juice after brushing with this :) There will be a slight minty taste, but not to where you notice it but feel it. I don't mind the taste, it's a little salty and it foams up a bit because of the peroxide to clean your teeth. My boyfriend HATED this, though, said it tasted god awful. I guess you'll just have to try it to see if you'll like it.
For a very mild whitening, this is okay. I'm planning on trying Paula Begoun's tooth whitener next time around. I can't complain with this product, it's just a toothpaste, after all...so I guess I don't know why I expected my teeth to be gleaming white? I suppose it's a good low-cost fix.
**I also noticed that the one area of my teeth that gets the most plaque buildup has NONE since I'd been using this. Dentists would think I never flossed there even though I do it daily, so that was probably the biggest benefit for me.

Works well. Would buy again Jul 26, 2010

This product works well.
I found Eco-Dent after doing considerable research on Dental Care when my children had white spots on their teeth, and the dentist had few suggestions for fixing them.
As for my own teeth, I have long been a dental fanatic: [I paid for my own braces as soon as I finished college, and I had my teeth bleached as a birthday present... before bleaching became mainstream and accessible.] That stated, I have also run into acid reflux issues later on that made me feel my teeth would never look as good as they did in my 20's. [They definitely will no longer tolerate the bleaching gels. :(
However, I bought this product and in a very short amount of time I noticed a huge difference. I would walk past the mirror and think, "Holy cow, I think this is working!!!"
My spouse has been using it, too, and has experienced enamel brightening.
The taste is not something children will take to: It's an adult product. While I don't love the flavor, I do love improved teeth, so the powder is worth it. I would recommend it to anyone who is sincerely interested in brightening their smile.

Best natural way to whiten your teeth Aug 06, 2011
By ss_in_sf This tooth powder will make your teeth noticeably whiter -- but not "blue-white" or unnatural-looking like clinical bleaching -- in about two weeks.
Its main benefits are:
1. It's a powder, so you can travel with it without problems with TSA, and it's also easy to carry to work or wherever else you need it.
2. It actually works, unlike other 'whitening' toothpastes in a similar price range (under $10). I remember using Rembrandt, Crest, etc over and over with no results.
3. It's a great deal for what you get. I think one container lasts me well over a month.
4. It's easy to use because you just brush your teeth with it. The times I've tried Crest Whitestrips have been unhappy times -- I'm always relieved to take the strips off my teeth after they've been sliding around and causing excess salivation for 30 minutes... yuck!
I haven't experienced any sensitivity from using this tooth powder, and I do get a lot of compliments on my white, bright smile.

The best natural whitening "toothpaste" - highly recommend Jan 29, 2011
By PFB Oregon I've been using this product for a few years and am very pleased with the results. The powder last a long time if you sprinkle in your mouth instead of on your brush - where 40% lands in the sink. The whitening power is superb - compared to conventional whitening pastes I've tried. My check ups at the dentist over the last few years have resulted in no cavities and complements from the hygenist. Good price at Amazon compared to my local retailers.

Great results, but worry about the damage done to teeth Dec 05, 2010

I bought this because I was tired of the tiny travel toothpastes, or not finding my favorite brand when I arrived somewhere.
My teeth are noticeably whiter, but they feel... soft, like a layer has been removed. The feeling goes away if I don't use the product for a few days. I'll update my review when I try a new way to brush my teeth (starting with my tongue to get the powder activated).
+ Easy to travel with + Great scent + Works pretty well
-- Might be removing the enamel from my teeth
