 Contains Aspartame Apr 15, 2010

I'm one of those who has difficulty swallowing pills. About the only thing I can swallow whole is a Sudafed or Tylenol Gel caps. I've always wanted to take something like Centrum but those pills are like horse pills to me which is why when I saw these on my pharmacy's shelves, I grabbed them.
I was very disappointed to find (after already taking quite a few) that they contained Aspartame. I was shocked that a company like Centrum, who's reputation about being health conscious and only using things that are good for your body, would use such an ingredient.
I admit that scientists have said that at normal consumption levels, Aspartame has not been shown to be harmful however I don't think I want to take chances with an additive like that. While others may be fine consuming Aspartame, I was not and thought I should warn others that this product contains it (since it does not mention it anywhere on this site.)

I purchased this for my girlfriend's mother whose stomach doesn't digest the regular vitamin tablet very well. This one works fine for her.

Chewables definitely better than swallowing Centrums! Feb 15, 2009

I resist taking vitamins, because I just can't swallow those horse-pills - even when cut in half I almost always gag on them. Centrum has finally come up with a solution... These are big - almost 1" in diameter and 1/4" thick, but they are easily chewable, and they can be cut in half if you prefer to take two smaller doses. The "citrus-berry" flavor is ok - nothing great, but nothing offensive. I will probably stick with a daily regimen of these - just because they are easier to take.

My wife cant do pills, so this was a way to get her to take her vitamins. She said the taste is actually pretty good.

I have been taking these chewable multivitamins for over two years now. You will not find the chewable Centrum Silver multivitamins in any store that I have found. I was very pleased that Amazon was carrying them, and, in a chewable or liquid form, any vitamin is more easily digested and therefore more completely absorbed into the body. I would highly recommend this product. Amazon offers them on a subscription basis, at an even more discounted price than they usually sell them for, so you will never run out.
