Description:

The Ball Chair is a new and exciting ergonomic chair for the office was designed by a group of physicians, health practitioners and engineers in Switzerland to promote correct posture, to help strengthen the muscles in the abdominal area and the spine, and to take stress off the back and neck. The egg-shaped ball chair does not compress discs in the spine, like a regular chair. Most people who sit in front of a computer or at a desk for prolonged time periods with a regular office chair assume poor posture. It results in flattening of the lumbar spine and altered head carriage. This can result in chronic lower back pain, weak abdominal muscles, and neck problems that often lead to headaches. Prolonged sitting can also cause poor circulation in the legs resulting in painful leg cramps or the sensation of the legs falling asleep. The Ball Chair ergonomic chair for the office enables individuals to achieve proper posture. The egg-shaped flexible ball chair allows free movement of the body - up and down, back and forth, and side to side for the body to find the best posture to relieve and prevent back pain. This is an award-winning product at the world's most prestigious International Invention Conference. The ErgoChair ergonomic chair won Best New Invention in the furniture category, out of 1,000 entries from 42 countries. The ErgoChair is patented in the U.S. and Europe.

Features:
  • The Ball Chair is easy to assemble which can improve posture in as little as one week.

  • The egg-shaped ball chair can be inflated or deflated to find the desired height for different individuals.

  • The egg-shaped ball can be removed from the chair frame and used for stretching and exercising. Exercise manual included with purchase.

  • Height is 27 inches when assembled and width between arm rests measures 23 inches

  • The ergonomic chair can hold up to 1400 lbs. of pressure.

5Love the Ergo Chair  Jun 22, 2010
I never really write anything about products that I use, but I just had to this time. For those of you who sit around the computer for many hours, this is the chair for you. My friend recommended it to me and when I saw a picture of it, I wasn't really convinced. It actually looked odd. When I received it and put it together ( it took me no time at all) I began sitting on it, and after a day or so, really got the hang of it. I love the fact that I can bounce up and down and move my hips around when I need some activity after sitting for too long. I like the fact that it's light and I am in control and I love it that it's egg shaped and not round.(I find it more comfortable). I also really like the minimalistic look. It's easy to control by adding air or letting air out; I, personally, like it a little more inflated. I've notice a really big change on my shoulders and my neck. My initial reason for trying out this chair was to try to improve my neck problems and - it worked! I sometimes go back to my old desk chair, just for a change, but immediately feel the need to sit on the ergo-chair again. It helps me with my neck kinks when I sit too long. I would definitely recommend it

5Very comfortable and useful my lower back & neck pains are gone  Jun 18, 2010
This is the best chair I have ever owned. After years of suffering with chronic neck and back pain caused by sitting in various office chairs, I discovered the Ergo Chair. I sit up straighter and can actually feel the benefits. I have tried other ergonomic chairs, but they didn't feel anything like this. I also like the fact that the "footprint" of the chair is small enough to fit my desk and that it looks very professional. I am going to buy 2 more for my family.

3Not so bad  Aug 19, 2009
I've used this chair as my personal seat three days a week for the past 13 months. The ball has been replaced once when I accidently pierced it (cannot be patched). The first reviewer is right, it is very cheaply made, I frequently have to re-tighten the screws that connect the wheels to the frame, the cloth-&-foam of the back rail are also very cheap and are now failing. This ball however, is very comfortable, the roll-ability and the size (height and width) is very useful for me. I will order a new chair and not try to get so much time out of it in the future.

1very bad quality.. the ball explodedafter few hours!!!  Feb 11, 2009
After the chair arrived i opened the box and inflated the ball and left it in the corner of the room till the next morning (as they recommended in the manual to inflate the ball a little more than the size needed and then wait for the next day).. well, few hours after that: a very loud sound that scared the hell out of me and my roommate --> we went to the next room and the ball is gone.. and by the way, the print on the ball says it will not explode no matter what! :)
The other point is that the chair itself gives the impression of cheap quality and not as good as it looks in the picture :)
Summary: Dont Buy!
