Good, but there are side effects Sep 15, 2009
By DJ I ended up using Hot Rox for about a month to kick start my weight loss. I had already lost about 60 pounds, and had been on a plateau for about 2 months. A friend of mine recommended this product to me, and I thought I would give it a shot.
The first few weeks were incredible, as I felt more energized during my morning workouts, and I was amazed at how much more I was sweating. Believe me, this is no placebo effect; when you're on Hot Rox and doing intense cardio, YOU SWEAT. After using it for a month, I ended up losing another 10 pounds.
Now, for the issues I experienced while on Hot Rox; when I was using the supplement, I found myself worried for no apparent reason about things at work and at home. I have higher anxiety than most, but the anxiety I felt while on Hot Rox was noticeably peaked. In addition, I woke up each morning with a sore jaw, which I will assume is from gritting my teeth overnight. These effects both went away almost immediately after I stopped taking Hot Rox.
I enjoyed the time I spent using Hot Rox, but by no means would I use it as a weight loss supplement for an extended period of time. It is a great product, and can provide some excellent short term results if you are looking to get over a plateau, but the number one supplement for weight loss is continuous exercise and a healthy diet.

They do work. Jan 14, 2009

These do work really well as a supplement to any diet. They'll give your metabolism that extra boost to help you burn that little extra weight you wouldn't with diet and exercise alone. Like anything else that messes with your metabolism they can leave you feeling a little... funky, over energetic, or irritable or just feeling ill.
If you've got a lot to lose adding them to your diet will help you, but take as few as possible it's some strong stuff. I've been on a diet for a while now and have lost 60lbs some of the time with this supplement some of the time without it. I did lose the weight faster with it but felt better during the day without it.
Long story short it works great, might leave you feeling less than great.

This product works if you are willing to put forth the effort Apr 30, 2010

I have used this product 3 times in the past 4 years for at least a month a time. Each time it has worked great. This time I have been on it for 8 days and have already lost 5 lbs. You do have to tighten up your diet and exercise regularly. I'm not on fad diet, just cutting back the amount I eat and passing on junk food, though I do have 2 or 3 splurge meals a week. Exercise is mostly kettlebells with some barbell work mixed in everyday for 15-20 minutes.
Personally, I stay at the 1 capsule 2x/day instead on increasing to 2 capsules 2x/day after the 1st week. I found that 2 capsules at once gets me wired to the point where it is uncomfortable.

Hot Rox Review Jan 28, 2010
By Mary Valentine I like this product. The Thermogenic quality (heat producing) does cause me to perspire more during workouts, and I guess that quality is supposed to cause fat to be 'burned' up more effectively. With vigorous work outs, using this supplement, I do tend to loose weight more quickly than without it- I've lost an average of .5 lb. a day while using it- mind you, this is combined with a average of 10 to 15 mile road bike ride per day- cycling @ 16 to 19 mph. on mildly varying terrane.
Hot Rox does indeed have a mild to moderate stimulant effect (which can curb appetite), and I agree with a lot of the other folks who've commented that taken on a completely empty stomach, it causes a bit of fairly unpleasant, burning indigestion. To avoid this, I usually take it with a light meal or snack, or even non-fat milk; then I'm okay. Also, a two capsule dose is often more than I really need or can tolerate simulation-wise. The stuff certainly can make you jittery, and annoyingly anxious for a short period of time- however, in all honesty, I've found it no more so than a shot of expresso or a cup of strong black coffee.
1 capsule is generally plenty for me, and I only take it just before a work out; so if I'm only doing one workout a day, then I only take it only one time a day. Oh, and one last thought, I do find the mild stimulation useful if I channel that energy into the workout.

HOT-ROX or Luke warm rox Aug 21, 2010

These, like most diet pills with loads of caffeine, suck the water out of you and make you feel better about your scale weight for the first few weeks. Then they begin to wear off after that. DO NOT TAKE THEM AFTER 6PM to avoid insomnia! They do give an added boost for the gym, which is what I primarily use them for.
